WHO ARE WE?

BIRMINGHAM OPEN HACK

Birmingham Open Hack, founded in 2019, is a hackathon that aims to bring the community together to represent Birmingham. Led by a student community called BCU TechGuild, with the aim to help current students and newcomers make an impact.

What is special about 2021?

This year we have the amazing opportunity to host the NASA Space Apps Challenge. We are running this event the first week of October. Space Apps will take place between the 2nd and 3rd of October 2021.

WHY BIRMINGHAM?

Open hack chose Birmingham as it was the home of the founders and more importantly it is the new epicentre of technological boom in the United Kingdom. Birmingham’s tech sector is growing faster than ever with new recruits and old professionals together alike. We are proud to call it our home and something that we represent!
